There is no need to email your photos to the webmaster, unless you have not set up your Picasa web albums, because the Webmaster will "follow" your web albums, and will therefore know when you have added photos to your albums. He will then download your set subject photos and include them in the club's set subject album. The different approaches taken by each club member to the same subject can then be compared, evaluated and admired.
If you have not set up your Picasa web albums, or would like to email photos to others, please use the procedures below. Emailing from within Picasa is undoubtedly the easiest way to resize and send photographs.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Set your Picasa email defaults - you will only need to do this once
- Run Picasa and click on Tools, then Options, then the Email tab.
- Choose either Outlook Express or your Google account as your email program (your Picasa account is a Google account and it can be used to create a Gmail email address).
- Move the "Size for multiple pictures" slider to either 640 or 800 pixels.
- Make "Size for single pictures" the same as multiple (640 or 800 pixels).
- Click OK.
2. Select the photos you want to send
- In Picasa navigate to the photos you want to email
- Hold down the CTRL key and click on the photos you want to send
- Release the CTRL key and click on the Email symbol on the bottom of the page
- An email window will appear - enter your recipient's email address into the "To" field
- Enter the names of the photos, or any other info into the text field underneath if you wish
- Click the "Send" button
How simple is that!
